Carstramon Wood is one of the largest semi-natural broadleaved woodlands in the area.
The oak trees were once used for making charcoal and supplying the local mill with bobbins.
Nowadays, the trees provide lush conditions for ferns and lichens and breathtaking bluebells in spring.
