When you are planning family days out consider a visit to this grand house and gardens that have survived largely unaltered since 1710. Set in glorious rolling countryside, wander through the parkland and get involved with one of the family friendly events.

Head to the Paddocks where you can set out a family picnic and the kids will have plenty of space to run around, play games together and have an adventure in the Wild Play area. Or take the family trails in the garden and the house trail ’Stolen’ where the kids have to hunt for objects that have gone missing!

You are welcome to picnic in the paddock or park, but not the formal gardens and there are picnic benches in the paddock. The Stables Tearoom offers delicious snacks and cakes that you can enjoy inside or in the pleasant tearoom garden.
