Blow away the cobwebs on a free day out with the kids at this popular woodland site near Aberystwyth in West Wales. With a host of waymarked walking and mountain bike trails, skills park for mountain bikers, beautiful scenery, orienteering courses, children’s play areas and the chance to see red kite feeding every afternoon, there is something for families of all ages.
Particularly popular with younger families is the pushchair and wheelchair friendly Animal Puzzle Trail – just pick up a leaflet in the visitor centre or at the dispenser and see how many animals the kids can find along the way. Discovery backpacks are also available at the visitor centre.
