This Museum at Brewhouse Yard has been part of Nottingham’s changing story for hundreds of years; affecting the lives of many of the city’s different communities. It is located at the base of the Nottingham Castle site.

Step into the past and investigate the rich history of the people of Nottingham who lived in the city for over four hundred years.

Uncover times of economic ups and downs, urban expansion and increasingly rapid industrial change. Visitors are invited to explore the homes of four families, each with a connection to Nottingham’s history of textiles in this area stretching back to medieval beginnings, cottage industries and Luddites.
