Take a picnic to Bratton Camp and the White Horse for a free day out with the family in Wiltshire. With plenty of open space, it is a great place for kite flying or family ball games. At certain points during the summer the rare Adonis Blue butterfly may be spotted on the chalk grassland. Below the Iron Age hillfort of Bratton Camp, visitors will find the famous Westbury White Horse, seen from miles away and believed to have been cut into the chalk hillside in the late 17th century. Approach the horse with caution as it may be slippery.
