For an active day out with the kids in South Wales, take the family to enjoy mountain biking at BikePark Wales near Merthyr Tydfil. There are are over 40 trails with something to suit all abilities including the 1km Badgers Run offering a great introduction to mountain biking. Another popular trail, Kermit, is a long and exciting beginner downhill mountain bike trail. Cycle hire for riders over 114cm tall and mountain biking taster sessions are available. Children must be accompanied.
