Alyn Waters Country Park

Pack a picnic and enjoy a free day out with the children at Alyn Waters Country Park near Wrexham. The River Alyn divides the park into two – the Gwersyllt side and the Llay side. There are car parks on both sides and woodland, grassland and riverside walks throughout the park. Keep your eyes open for wildlife as you explore.

On the Gwersyllt side there is also a visitor centre with an exhibition on the wildlife and history of the park. A two-mile cycleway and sculpture trail starts from the visitor centre. Meanwhile, on the Llay side of the park there is a children’s playground, trim trail and a local nature reserve.
