THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Christmas Train Ride 2026 at the Churnet Valley Railway

Meet Santa during a magical trip on the Churnet Valley Railway in Staffordshire this Christmas. Take your seats and journey to the North Pole on board THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride from Froghall Station.

Look forward to all the excitement of the well-loved Christmas film – The Polar Express. Travel from Froghall Station to the North Pole to collect Santa Claus for the return journey. The onboard interactive panto-style live entertainment includes the The Polar Express story related by the characters in it, and singing and dancing chefs. Enjoy creamy hot chocolate and a crunchy Christmas cookie. Santa will bring gifts – maybe even a silver bell from his own sleigh.

Be sure and add to the fun by arriving in your festive pyjamas (plus coat and gloves to keep warm on the platform!). It is recommended that you allow around one and a half hours for the whole experience.
