Open 15 Apr - 31 Dec

Gruffalo fans in the family? Add Dean Heritage Centre in the Forest of Dean to your list of places to go in 2021. Based on the popular children’s book, The Gruffalo, this woodland trail is a great way for families to explore the woods around the Centre. So join the famous mouse on his journey and meet the various animals along the route. Find out how the mouse extricates himself from some tricky situations and admire the wonderful character carvings. The trail runs alongside the brook and is buggy friendly with gravel paths.

Please note that the museum will not reopen until May 2021 at the earliest. Only the coffee shop, gift shop and Gruffalo Trail reopened in April 2021.

Please see Dean Heritage Centre’s website to confirm opening dates/times, ticket details and more before travelling.
