Air displays and fantastic free ground activities including a fun fair and interactive Discovery Zone at Shuttleworth in Bedfordshire on Saturday 25th July.
Shuttleworth Alder Drive, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire SG18 9DT
Spend a glorious summer day out at Shuttleworth in Bedfordshire with the Summer Air Show.
2026 marks the 90th anniversary of the first flight of the Spitfire, an aviation milestone that introduced one of the most influential fighter designs of WWII.
To honour this extraordinary aircraft, Shuttleworth are aiming to assemble one example of every airworthy Spitfire mark currently in the UK to tell the story of the Spitfire. These iconic aircraft will appear alongside wider Collection and visiting aircraft displays.
Shuttleworth will also be celebrating the heroes behind the Spitfire’s success with a de Havilland DH.60, the same aircraft the Spitfire’s designer R.J. Mitchell flew in to understand how flying works, as well as the Collection’s own Percival Mew Gull – the exact aircraft which Spitfire test pilot Alex Henshaw broke the London to Cape Town record in.
And, as always, you’ll still have the chance to enjoy fantastic free ground activities including a fun fair, interactive Discovery Zones and more.
All aircraft and vehicle appearances are subject to weather and serviceability.
9am-9pm. Tickets from £37 and kids go FREE!
