Older children aged 11-16 years would enjoy the Steam Club at the National Coal Mining Museum that is scheduled throughout the year.
Each session has a different theme and is designed to give a creative twist on STEM subjects using authentic materials related to the mining industry.

16th and 18th February – Density
17th March – Soil Testing/Potable water
27th to 29th March – Kinetic Energy
21st April – Viscosity
19th May – Exothermic/Endothermic
16th June – Contaminated water/ water treatment plant
