Celebrate Samhain, the start of the Celtic new year, with a magical day out this October half term in an Iron Age settlement.
A visit to Celtic Harmony Camp in Hertfordshire this half term is a great way to bring the past to life. Venture into the haunted forest if you dare! Explore the palaeolithic cave. Fill your day with creative activities such as building your own woodland shelter, decorating a chalk art auroch, and pumpkin clay crafts.
Enjoy a warming lunch prepared by the resident chefs in The Woodland Bistro or tuck into a scary snack and hot chocolate in the roundhouse.
End your day with a story in the Chieftain and a fire procession to celebrate the Celtic New Year. There are plenty more activities for your day so come along and join in the celebrations!
Finish the week-long celebration on Saturday the 31st October, Halloween Night, to burn your worries in the Samhain bonfire and make a wish for the year to come.
