Rock Pools & Rocky Shores at The Deep

Visit The Deep in Hull this summer and uncover the hidden treasures of the Yorkshire coast at the Rock Pools & Rocky Shores event.

From 18th July- 6th September, families of all ages can enjoy a fun-filled summer discovering more about the fascinating creatures that call UK rockpools home. Activities include:

• Interactive Rockpool Activity: Explore the wonders of the seashore with the tactile artificial rockpool. Use the iSpy activity sheet to help identify the different species.
• Hands-On Discovery: Learn all about our rocky shores with the fossil artefact station. Assisted by The Deep’s Crew, crack open your own fossils and discover what is inside! Stop by the candling stand to ’sea’ if you can spot something hidden in your shark egg case!
• Seashore Safari Sessions: Running at 12noon and 2pm daily, The Deep will be sharing important tips on how to enjoy the coast safely alongside a weekly species spotlight series.
• Meet Native Species: Get close up with amazing marine life, including many UK native species in the Cool Seas habitat.
