Explore the Play Experience - Exhibition at the Museum of Somerset

Enjoy lots of different playful experiences at the Museum of Somerset’s interactive exhibition running until 10th October. It is ideal for families of all ages with lots of opportunities to get hands-on, creating and trying (or rediscovering) toys and games. There are four exciting play zones to explore:

• Gaming. Visit the Game Zone to find out about different games through the ages, from prehistoric tokens to Happy Families and Snakes and Ladders.
• Imagine. Role play, dress up, snap a selfie and reminisce about well loved toys from your childhood. Did you have a Polly Pocket, Hornby train or a Furby?
• Create. How about making a character out of magnets or contributing to the giant collective artwork? Have a go at the Sound Game and be entertained by the surprising noises that toys can make!
• Explore. If the weather is fine, head outside to the Outdoor Zone and have fun with a hula hoop or hopscotch. See old-fashioned scooters, spinning tops and wooden rackets from days gone by.
