October Half Term at Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm details...

Open 26 Oct - 3 Nov

Plan a visit to Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm for October half term and learn more about the amazing migration story of the monarch butterfly and why this butterfly is associated with Dia de Muertos.

Daily butterfly lifecycle demonstrations will take place at 11am in the Discovery Zone, where there will be plenty of beautiful orange monarchs flying, and vibrantly coloured yellow and black caterpillars to be found!

The monarch butterfly is the largest species found in the British Isles and one of our rarest migrants. Renowned for its remarkable long-distance travel, they arrive like clockwork in Mexico around early November, which coincides with Día de Muertos, or Day of the Dead celebrations.

In the Flight Area families can follow a gruesome insect fact trail, and find out just how weird and wonderful nature can be!
