Find out more about traditional rural skills and celebrations over Harvest Weekend at Chiltern Open Air Museum in Buckinghamshire this autumn. A traditional harvest is brought to life with displays, working demonstrations, the chance to have a go at some heritage skills and all the sights and sounds of the countryside.
Learn how a threshing machine works, see apple pressing and admire the sheepdogs herding rare breed sheep. There will also be Morris dancing, a beautiful harvest display in the Henton Chapel and the chance to watch flax spinning demonstrations and traditional bakers shaping and baking a harvest loaf.
