A visit to the Science & Industry Museum is one of the favourite things to do in February half term holiday when you are looking to entertain the kids.
From Saturday 16th February until Sunday 24th February you can climb aboard the Rocket Racers workshop and design your very own train of the future, take a pit stop at the Science Showdown for some live experiment fun, park up at The Great Bridge Build Off and use your skills to bridge a gap between two cities!
Younger visitors can collect one of the Early Years Engineers Power Packs from the front desk (though be quick, as availability is limited!) to that offers heaps of entertainment.
Roll up for all the fun of the fair at the Victorian Fairground, and don’t forget to say hello to Stephenson’s Rocket, one of the world’s first train engines on your visit.
There’s also the chance to get a job in a cotton mill in the textiles demonstrations, see the machines that made Manchester great in the Power Hall, lift a Mini car, create a hurricane or watch your own skeleton ride a bike in the hands-on gallery, ’Experiment’.
All activities take place during half term and are recommended for all ages. The museum is free to enter but there are charges for certain activities, open daily from 10am until 5pm. There are plenty of refreshment options to keep you going all day!
