Longleat in Wiltshire becomes a magical land full of festive cheer this Christmas season! So treat the family to an unforgettable winter day out and enjoy the Festival of Light on selected dates from the 9th November 2024 to 5th January 2025.
In 2024 visitors are invited to take a Journey through Time as they follow the spectacular immersive lantern trail. See how the earth has evolved from the age of the dinosaurs to the present day. Venture through a pyramid of Egypt, discover chariots and gladiators in the 10-metre-high Roman Colosseum and watch the House light show to mark Longleat opening to the public 75 years ago.
Once again the popular Santa Train will be collecting passengers for a trip past Half Mile Pond to North Pole Halt, a snow-covered winter wonderland. Then make your way to meet Father Christmas in his grotto and pass on your Christmas wishes. Children will receive a gift and adults can tuck into hot chocolate and a mince pie.
The Enchanted Christmas Tree Show returns with the singing Christmas tree illuminated by a host of twinkling lights and fitted with snow-making machines.
Other festive attractions this Christmas at Longleat include a seasonal bird show in the Longhouse and guided Festive House Tours allowing visitors to see the house dressed for Christmas. Finally, Longleat’s adventure and animal attractions, including the Drive Through Safari, will be open during the day.
Various ticket options are available and dates/times for individual attractions vary. Pre-book tickets online in advance as capacity is limited.
