Family Trail at Dunster Castle

Join detective duo Motte & Bailey for a time-travel adventure at Dunster Castle in West Somerset this summer! Step back to the 10th century as you follow the family trail, Motte & Bailey Investigate the Viking Raid on Watchet Mint.

Vikings have stolen Saxon silver coins from the Royal Mint in nearby Watchet and hidden them in the castle grounds. Your task is to help Motte & Bailey find the coins and return them to the Royal Mint. Solve the clues and have a go at hands-on activities to find out more about the Vikings and Saxons. Complete the trail and claim your collectable Motte & Bailey Viking Badge.

Trails cost £3.50 per person and include a prize (normal admission charges apply).
