Edinburgh International Festival 2026

Edinburgh International Festival is packed with events and activities for both kids and grown-ups. Check out the programme and find out what’s on. Family-friendly highlights include:

• A one-man Spaghetti Western, Hostile, from French theatre company Bakélite. Enjoy a playful journey through bandit encounters, saloons and close escapes.
• Interactive Art of Listening Workshops introducing children to classical music through games, songs and live performances.
• An hour-long Family Concert when LA Phil’s youth orchestra, YOLA, joins forces with Scotland’s music education and social change programme, Big Noise.
• Together We Rise, a free event in Princes Street Gardens, which celebrates the power of collaboration through community-led performances.
