Dragonfly Safari at WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre

Collect a spotter guide from the Info Desk and set off on the Dragonfly Safari: A Self-Led Adventure for Families at Llanelli Wetland Centre in Carmarthenshire, as part of the summer Dragonfly Festival.

Spot dazzling dragonflies and damselflies zip through the air, bask in the sun and even lay eggs in the water and mud. Did you know that WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre is home to 23 species of dragonflies and damselflies?

Join one of the daily 45-minute Pond Dipping sessions to find dragonfly and damselfly larvae as well as diving beetles and other creatures. Other summer holiday activities include:

• Dragonfly Science Show – Tuesdays and Thursdays only. This interactive show is a great introduction to the world of dragonflies and damselflies.
• Wing-Making Workshops – Fridays only. Have fun making your own wings to wear!
• Make Your Own Festival Bracelet – Fridays only. Create a wearable keepsake taking inspiration from the beauty of dragonflies.
• Giant Outdoor Games – daily. Have a go at giant dragonfly Jenga, iridescent hula hoops and more.
• Dragonfly Spotting Walks – daily. Join an hour-long fascinating guided walk through the wetlands.
