Castle of Light returns to Edinburgh Castle, illuminating the city’s skyline this Christmas. Book your tickets and enjoy a dazzling after-dark light show featuring stunning projections, immersive soundscapes and magical installations.
Wrap up warm, enjoy the breathtaking views and watch huge installations unfold on the historic Castle walls. For winter 2025, Castle of Light takes its inspiration from the forces of fire and ice. Look out for mythical creatures including a dragon soaring over the ramparts and the Ice Queen in the Great Hall.

Selected evenings from Friday 21st November 2025 to Sunday 4th January 2026.
Timed entry slots from 4.30pm to 7.30pm (last entry between 7.30pm and 7.45pm).
