The Oceanarium in Bournemouth has introduced Calm at the Oceanarium, a regular event designed for families with sensory needs. This event invites visitors to enjoy a magical underwater experience at a quieter period of the day. Lighting will be more relaxed, screens and music will be turned off and there will be no daily talks.
Everyone will be welcome during these sessions but signs and information will be displayed, reminding visitors that a sensory session is in place.
Dates
Calm at the Oceanarium usually takes place on the last Thursday of the month in term time only, from 3.45pm (end times vary depending on the season).
Please note that there are no calm sessions during June and July and during school holidays.
