One of the best places to go in Bristol with kids is the exciting, hands-on science centre We The Curious, formerly At-Bristol. Here, visitors will encounter science brought to life! Its purpose is to inspire visitors, whatever their age, to be curious and enthusiastic about the world in which we live.
There are over 250 exhibits in the various exhibition zones plus a programme of live shows, talks and workshops. On the first floor are the Aardman Animation exhibits, the Space Gallery, the Tinkering Space and Bubbles. Meanwhile, on the ground floor, there is the Open City Lab, a hands-on kitchen and greenhouse and, new in summer 2021, Project What If. With so much interactive fun, there is something that all the family can enjoy.
Would-be astronauts or budding astronomers in the family? Treat them to a trip to the stars in the UK’s first 3D planetarium. Planetarium shows vary during the year.
Please check We The Curious’ website to confirm details and find out what’s on when you are planning a day out. There may be an additional charge for some events and activities.

Don't know who enjoyed our visit to At-Bristol more - kids or adults! Honestly so much to do and learn there. We managed to miss the shows in the Planetarium so will use that as an excuse to go back.
