Visitors can also descend beneath the ’glass sea’ into the Dry Dock and walk around the hull of the SS Great Britain to see the screw propeller, responsible for making the ship one of the most innovative in the world. Have a go at the Full Steam Ahead game and try designing your own ship.
Explore the Being Brunel museum to learn more about the life and legacy of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, one of the greatest engineers of the 19th century.
