One of the family attractions at the Alton Towers Resort, Alton Towers Waterpark is a perfect day out with the kids in Staffordshire whatever the weather. Both indoor and outdoor pools offer gallons of excitement for youngsters of all ages.
Bursting out of the middle of Splash Landings hotel, the Caribbean lagoon boasts hundreds of fantastic interactive water features, from lazy rivers, bubbly wubbly pools and crazy cannons, to the thrills and spills of the Master Blaster water rollercoaster.
This amazing waterslide will turn and twist you around the whole Waterpark at incredible speed – just be prepared for the blast of water! Try out Rush ’n’ Rampage and enter the Splashdown Pool at speed or test the outdoor slides including Flash Floods (outdoor slides are subject to availability).
The Bubbly Wubbly Pool is the place to relax and get your breath back amidst rising steam or perhaps you would rather enjoy Volcano Springs. Kids will have a great time at Wacky Waterworks Tree House with waterwheels, cannons and more interactive features. Make sure you listen out for the ringing bell, the warning that a thousand litres is about to fall from the Tipping Bucket!
Facilities for smaller guests include the Little Leak – a bright shallow pool with interactive play features, floats and slides for tiny tots.
There is a great choice of scrumptious refreshments available, from hot drinks and sandwiches to salads and hot dogs. You’ll be unlikely to resist the poolside Ice Cream Parlour.
Children under 3 years old can access the Waterpark completely free. Height restrictions apply to some rides and tickets can be booked online in advance.
Why not book a night at one of the hotels and give the family plenty of time to enjoy all the other attractions at the Alton Towers Resort as well?

We have been enjoying the Alton Towers Waterpark for many years and could not recommend it enough. It's the perfect day out no matter what the weather. As soon as you enter the huge Waterpark you will be greeted by a nice tropical climate. You will feel like you are in the Caribbean. Straight ahead there is the main pool, to the left is a huge Wacky Waterworks Play Area and to the right is the small childrens pool. Towards the back of the Waterpark there is a lazy river which is just amazing when you want to chill for a few minutes or you could head upstairs to the indoor jacuzzi. If you are feeling a little adventurous you can try one of the indoor slides including our favourite the Master Blaster, which takes you above the waterpark on a rubber ring. From 11am daily the outdoor pool, jacuzzi and slides open. I must warn you the water isn't warm but it's still lots of fun... even in Winter. Once you have finished or even if you are just having a break for a moment you can enjoy refreshments and snacks from the snack kiosk situated inside the waterpark. There is plenty to do for all ages at The Alton Towers Waterpark and you do not have to be staying at the hotel to enter, it is open to the public.
