Go see the Hunting of the Snark live in the West End

All aboard! Get ready to set sail on an impossible voyage with an improbable crew to hunt an imaginary creature!

The Hunting of the Snark is the hilarious family musical adventure that brings to life the classic nonsense poem by Lewis Carroll, the author of Alice in Wonderland.

A ragtag gang of bold adventurers and a Knitting Beaver set off on a quest to catch the mythical Snark. The trouble is, nobody knows what the Snark actually looks like!

In a supremely silly adventure that’s full of witty songs, puppets and lashings of daft humour, you’ll meet characters like the Butcher, the Baker, Bandersnatch and the Boojum. Can a Snark be caught with soap? Will the Beaver escape the hungry Butcher’s clutches? Will the Baker even remember his name?

The Hunting of the Snark is at the Vaudeville Theatre in London from the 26th July to 2nd September. Book tickets now. More…

A Buzzyhumming summer at the Roald Dahl Museum

Roald Dahl lived in the Chilterns for over 40 years and wrote all his famous children’s books in his little writing hut in Great Missenden. His stories were often inspired by the surrounding landscape. Danny, the Champion of the World and Fantastic Mr Fox are clearly set in the countryside around Great Missenden and Matilda toddled down to the village library every day when her mother went off to play bingo in Aylesbury! Sophie was plucked from her bed in a little house on the High Street by The BFG.

This Summer, The Roald Dahl Museum invites families to explore the village, woods and fields that inspired the author and celebrate his love of animals and nature. Their ‘Buzzyhumming Summer’ features Guided Village and Countryside Trails every Tuesday through the holidays, as well as sketching and storytelling walks.

Inside the Museum, meet some authors and listen to their animal-tastic tales, create Paw Print Plates, Buzzwangling Bird Feeders or Chocolate Cattypiddlers and find out more about Roald Dahl’s passion for growing plants in a Science-y Seeds workshop.

For details of all Museum events and activities visit the website.

Don’t forget to take along the 2 for 1 discount voucher for entry.  More…
