RSPB Derne Valley Nature Reserve

Only a short drive from Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham or Sheffield, this reserve is a fantastic place to watch wildlife on a day out with the kids. Old Moor is an ideal site for both beginners and experienced bird watchers alike and there is plenty for families to do, with a specially designed play adventure area and great explorer backpacks with pond dipping kits and binoculars to get the kids interested in nature.
