Delapre Abbey details...
Plan a family day out at Delapre Abbey, set in 500 acres of parkland about a mile from the centre of Northampton. Discover 900 years of turbulent history, hear tales of the Abbey told across five storytelling zones, investigate unexpected views, strange doorways and eccentric architecture that adds to the site’s intriguing history.
There are hands-on interactive displays for all the family, extensive grounds and gardens to explore. Pop into the Orangery Cafe to complete your visit.
The Abbey has recently been restored with the help of the Heritage Lottery Fund and the council.
Please check Delapre Abbey’s website for current opening times, prices and list of events. Children under 18 years have free entry and it is free to enter the grounds and cafe.
