A great day out for the kids in London should include a trip on City Cruises along the river Thames. Through the very heart of London City Cruises let’s you see the sights and sounds of 2,000 years of history as visitors cruise through the Capital. The City Cruise fleet of purpose-built modern sightseeing boats gives you the best views possible from the majestic Houses of Parliament to the ancient Tower of London with its gruesome past and on to the Royal Palace of Greenwich.
As you go, you’ll cross the site of the first Roman crossing of the River Thames as well as pass by the tallest building in Europe, the Shard. A journey along the Thames with City Cruises will give you a unique insight into the history of London and with a fleet of boats designed to give you the best possible vantage point of river life, you really can sit back, relax and enjoy the views, while the on-board commentary reveals all.
The children will love the experience. Family River Pass tickets (2 adults and up to 3 children) give complete freedom to make the most of the regular departures by allowing you to come and go at will. The cruises depart from Westminster, the London Eye, Tower and Greenwich Piers. On all boats you’ll find refreshments served.
The boats all have fixed seats and tables so children’s parties are very welcome. There are events throughout the year, such as special Mother’s Day Cruises, Easter Cruises, Christmas and New Year’s Day cruises.
The addresses for all the piers are: Westminster Pier (SW1A 2JH), London Eye Pier (SE1 7PB), Tower Pier (EC3N 4DT) and Greenwich Pier (SE10 9HT).
Explore London’s sights like you’ve never seen them before!
