Bristol Zoo Gardens details...

Discover over 400 species of exotic and endangered animals from across the globe! Enjoy a family day out at Bristol Zoo Gardens, all set within award-winning gardens covering over 12 acres.

Visitors can venture into an amazing animal kingdom, getting closer than ever before with spectacular immersive experiences. So take the kids to marvel at a gorilla family strolling overhead in the glass-floored gorilla house. Then journey underwater to watch penguins and seals zoom around you. Go nocturnal in Twilight World, pop up among the zoo’s cheeky meerkat mob, or stroll through the leafy home of the lemurs.

In addition, keen animal lovers can enjoy a fascinating insight with daily talks, feeds and encounters. Meanwhile, children are free to run wild at the adventure playground and water play-area Splash. Also there is face-painting and crafts galore in the Activity Centre daily from 11am to 4.30pm. Additional charges apply for face painting.

Finally, both big and little adventurers can climb, clamber and swing through the air as they tackle the thrilling aerial ropes course ZooRopia (find opening times, charges and restrictions on the zoo’s website).
