Avoncroft in Worcestershire is planning six weeks of family fun for all ages during the summer holidays. So find out what’s on each week and look forward to some great days out in the West Midlands with the children!
In addition to the themed weeks of activities, there will be regular train rides on the miniature railway and pony rides on selected dates (extra charges apply to some activities).
Get the kids out into the fresh air exploring the great outdoors with a host of exciting activities. There’ll be bug hunts, Forest School, tree identification, animal trails, craft, pond dipping and more. Dates: 22nd-26th July and 12th-16th August.
Take the children to enjoy a series of fun activities celebrating Avoncroft’s fascinating historical buildings. The choice includes brickmaking, LEGO construction, ’building in art’ competition and construction trails. Dates: 29th July-2nd August and 19th-23rd August.
Step back to the past and discover how people lived (and smelled) centuries ago – sure to intrigue kids! Get hands on making soap in the museum’s Tudor Town House, follow ’privies of the past’ trails, make nosegays and watch Victorian washing displays. Also, visitors will compare hygiene of rich and poor in the past. Dates: 5th-9th and 26th-30th August.
Please see Avoncroft’s website to confirm dates, times, prices and other details before visiting.
