Visit the National Museum Cardiff and discover what the world was like before the age of the dinosaurs, 300 million years ago. At this time a huge tropical swamp covered present-day Wales. There were floods and thunderstorms, enormous insects and giant plants.
So treat the family to a fascinating day out in South Wales and find out what beautifully preserved fossils can tell us about these ancient tropical wetlands. Expect to see the remains of plants that lived millennia before the evolution of flowers and fruits. See what odd creatures you spot lurking in the swamp. Finally, uncover the links between the story of the fossil swamp, fossil fuel and the climate problems of today.
Lots to see and learn at this exhibition!
Admission to both the Museum and the exhibition is free.
