The Artist's Apprentice Trail at Hestercombe details...

Open 17 May - 31 Oct

Enjoy a relaxing family day out at Hestercombe in Somerset during 2021. Adding to the fun of your visit will be this fun, arty family trail around the historical gardens.

So take the children to follow in the footsteps of Coplestone Warre Bampfylde, designer of Hestercombe’s landscape and gardens. Young artists will colour in their very own masterpiece. After completing their masterpiece, each will graduate as a Master Artist and even receive a certificate to prove it.

Then, later in the year, all the drawings will be used to recreate one huge version of Coplestone’s painting, which will be displayed at Hestercombe.

Finally, every school holiday until November will also see a new trail featuring Coplestone. So whenever you visit, take along your Artist’s Apprentice Trail booklet to the Ticket Office. Then you will receive a stamp. If you collect all the stamps, you can look forward to a prize.

Standard gardens admission applies plus £2.50 per child for the trail to include colouring pencils, activity trail and wooden artist’s palette.

Book tickets online in advance.
